A rich, dessert-style espresso martini made with vodka, coffee liqueur, and cookie dough coffee concentrate, shaken ice-cold and poured over creamy coffee creamer. Finished with cold foam and cookie crumbles for a sweet, indulgent cocktail twist.

A Fun Twist on the Classic

This cookie dough espresso martini puts a playful spin on the traditional cocktail by adding sweet, dessert-like notes while still keeping that bold espresso flavor. It feels familiar but elevated—perfect for anyone who loves a classic with a little extra flair.

Easy to Customize

One of the best parts of this cocktail is how customizable it is. Swap the coffee creamer for any flavor you love—vanilla, caramel, hazelnut, or seasonal options—to completely change the vibe without altering the base recipe.

Perfect for Brunch or Dessert

This cocktail fits right in at brunch but also works as an after-dinner drink. It’s smooth, creamy, and caffeinated, making it ideal for daytime gatherings, celebratory brunches, or when you want dessert in a glass.

Prepare the shaker

Fill a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice. Add the espresso or cold brew concentrate, vodka, coffee liqueur, maple syrup, and a small pinch of salt. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 20–30 seconds until well chilled and slightly frothy.

Prep the glasses

Fill four martini glasses with fresh ice. Pour coffee creamer directly into each glass, using enough to lightly coat the ice and create a creamy base.

Assemble the cocktail

Strain the shaken espresso martini mixture over the ice and coffee creamer in each glass. Pour slowly to help the layers blend smoothly without losing the chill.

Garnish

Top each drink with a layer of cold foam if using. Finish with cookie dough crumbles and a few coffee beans for garnish.

Serve

Serve immediately while cold and creamy, and enjoy this rich, dessert-style espresso martini.

Why This Became My Go-To Brunch Cocktail

Espresso martinis are the perfect brunch drink. They give you the energy of coffee, the fun of a cocktail, and just enough sweetness to feel like a treat instead of a commitment. When espresso martinis blew up again on social media around 2021, I kept seeing them everywhere—and conveniently, that was also the year I was finally legal to drink. Perfect timing, honestly.

From that point on, my partner and I made it a thing to order espresso martinis whenever we saw them on a menu. Coffee shops turned cocktail bars, brunch spots, late-night lounges—we’ve tried a lot of them. Some were too bitter, some way too sweet, and others just tasted like vodka pretending to be coffee.

After all that “research,” this recipe ended up topping many of the ones we’ve had out. It’s smooth, balanced, and actually tastes like coffee with dessert vibes. It works for slow brunch mornings, celebratory afternoons, or anytime you want caffeine and cocktails in one glass—and honestly, it’s the one we keep coming back to.
